That one word can mean so many different things.
Today I am absolutely tired. We had a rough night. Slight congestion (probably teething...) made for a baby who couldn't suck her thumb which made her fairly angry. Momma probably got about 3 hours of sleep.
Emotionally I am less tired which is really nice! I feel content with where we are though I would never have predicted these steps.
My good friends just had their baby girl a week ago, and they are in that brand new parent phase of tired. It is a tiredness in a category by itself.
Then there is toddler tired-for the parent(s) who spend their days preventing mayhem and injuries from occurring about twice a minute. Making a meal, cleaning up after a meal, working, bathing, napping (the baby anyway...), playing, reading, jumping, stroller walking, rinse and repeat. As is often said, "the days are long, but the years are short." Very true.
Love my days (and nights) with this precious girl.
